….due to coronavirous controls in place kn Italy

We’ve had the kind invite from the Dubh Linn Irish Pub at the centre of Parma that includes the offer of 10% off your food bill.

Parma is a beautiful, compact city offering something for historians, lovers of art, lovers of food, lovers of beer and lovers of rugby!  The welcome any travelling supporters will get from Zebre Rugby Club and it’s crazy supporters is second to none, so make sure you say “ciao”.

The 5000-seater Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi opened in 2008 and sits on the northern outskirts of Parma, 3km (two miles) from the centre.  It can be reached in a five-minute taxi ride from Parma train station and the centre of the city, a 40-minute walk, or a short bus journey.

If you’ve never been in a car with an Italian driver, its worth the short taxi journey to the ground just for the full Italian experience!  (but the buses or the walk are fine if you’re not a thrill seeker).

This is what Roberto from the Dubh Linn has to say:

Dear Sirs,

we are The “Dubh Linn Irish Pub” in Parma and we will like to welcome you for this 2020 season to our small but warm crossroad between Italian and Irish culture.

It will be a pleasure having your supporters to watch your favourite competition with a good old Guinness in their hands. We would like to offer your members,  along with our specialities, 10% discount on dinners, if you’ll like to choose our Pub for  this season. We look forward to receiving a response from you and we wish you the best of luck.

We can now confirm exact details of pickup location times for the Boxing Day bus:

15:00 Port Talbot – British Legion bus stop
15:15 Neath – Outside Train station
15:45 Swansea – Liberty Stadium

Please be at the bus stop 5-10 minutes before the scheduled time so we don’t incurr any delays waiting for stragglers (who WILL be left behind!)

We will have some Ospreys flags to hand out for those who want to be seen in the stadium!

Return time will be approx 60-90 minutes after the final whistle (or the time it takes to get a pint in the Barn afterwards – whichever is longest)

This is not an OSC trip, but we’ve had the following from Travel Lodge Galway!  If you’re interested,  contact Travellodge directly using the link below:

I’m just reaching out in relation to your upcoming match between the Ospreys versus Connacht taking place in Galway on the 2nd March. We all know Connacht are going to win and it’s not going to be even close, but as hosts we want to be very hospitable and offer a discount on hotel accommodation that’s exclusively available to travelling Ospreys fans. We are offering €60 for a Twin room on the 1st and €115 on the 2nd. However, if staying for the Saturday night only, the rate is €125.  This is a highly competitive Room Only Rate.

Our newly refurbished hotel boasts the following

–          Brand new super executive rooms and standard rooms

–          Brand new bar and restaurant ( with plenty of beer on taps and of course one of best pints Guinness to found anywhere in Galway.

–          Brand new lobby and circulation spaces with a large “60 “ curved TV in lobby so we can watch Connacht win J!!

In only a short 8 minute walk (google says 10 mins but we let guests use back of the hotel to access grounds faster) to the Sportsground.

We offers great value for money across, double, twin and family rooms. This is a Travelodge like no other- and soon to rebranded Travelodge Plus.

For those lucky Ospreys supporters travelling to Pau for this weekend’s Challenge Cup match, we’ve had the following information from Pau’s fan club, Section 16e Homme, including an invitation to meet up for a glass of wine on matchday at the stadium!

For lunch & diner, you can find many places downtown with different french food like around the Chateau de Pau.  On Rue des Cordeliers, the Beanz Cafe is awesome for us because the menu is made by ladies from Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. And before or after the game, next to the stadium, La Cantine de la Section is the place to be for eat french food or drink beer. And, downtown on the Boulevard des Pyrénées, the Galway Pau is a pub with French people and from other countries. It’s 1 of the 3 bars on the Boulevard. I hope you’ll find what you want for having a good trip in our South West!!

Next Saturday, you are invited to a friendship moment with our fanclub with a glass of white wine (Jurancon) (on the Bodega on the stadium on your left after the entry)!! See you guys”
