logo-lou-rugbylougdunumsWe’ve been in contact with Lyon’s supporters club Les Lougdunums and arranged a meet up on Friday evening with them.

They have arranged to meet us at 9am at the Ninkasi Gerland  which is near a subway stop. A brewery, bar menu, live music…..looks good so see you there!

Here’s a map:

Are you travelling to Lyon? Trying to estimate numbers to pick a pub!

We received this today – sounds like a great option for travelling supporters to meet up pre match in Belfast!

“Good morning, my name is Patrick Baird and I am the chairman of Malone RFC which is based a 6 minute walk from the Kingspan stadium, I am writing to invite any travelling supporters to come to Malone before or after the game on Saturday evening, we will be showing the Munster V Zebre game before the game between Ulster and the Ospreys and there will also be a couple of local games being played from 2.30pm here at Malone, we have two good sizes bars with plenty of tv screens for watching the matches, we will also have a bar food menu available, we have catered for many visiting team supporters and we were the fan zone base for Edinburgh for the Pro 12 final, we had over 500 supporters with us that day so we are well used to coping with large numbers, being a traditional rugby club ( 125 years old next season ) we enjoy great banter and sing songs to add to the atmosphere. Are bar prices are obviously at club prices and are far cheaper than the high street bars and are pints are over £1 cheaper than the bar at Kingspan. We would be delighted if any of your supporters would like to join us at Malone for a beer or two before walking over to Kingspan.
Many thanks and best of luck on Saturday evening, yours in rugby,

Patrick.”
