SWWR OSCA Winner October 2014 – Dmitri Arhip

Congratulations to Moldovan international tighthead Dmitri Arhip who has won the South Wales Wood Recycling Ltd OSCA for October.

Dmitri starred in all five games in October, appearing in the starting lineup against Zebre, Cardiff Blues, Treviso and Connacht.

We are expecting to make the presentation on Saturday  6th December in the Riverside after the Racing Metro gamewhen Dmitri aka Dapski aka Dai Mitri aka @Dmitri_Arhip will accept his well earned award.

Final call for numbers! Away Travel – Scarlets (Pro12), 3rd January 2015

We are finalising numbers for  coach travel for Scarlets away on 3rd January 2015.  This is so we can confirm coach sizes with our supplier.
Seats are £9pp return and the pick up points are confirmed as follows:

Bridgend Sarn Park services (coach park) 14:30

Port Talbot Train Station 14:50

Neath Train Station 15:10

Swansea Liberty Stadium 15:25

Arriving at PyS at 16:00-16:15 depending on traffic.

Kickoff is 17:05.

Coach tickets will be available on 20th December pre and post match in the Riverside Bar and pre match in the 2003 Club.

Away Travel – Glasgow (Pro12), 21st February 2015

Wonky Sheep Events working with Ospreys Supporters Club are pleased to announce their first trip together.

GLASGOW V OSPREYS (Pro12) – 21st February, 2015

We have teamed up with the Ospreys Supporters Club to offer this weekend trip.

Flights to Glasgow from Bristol on Friday 20th returning Sunday 22nd. Two nights in a 2* hotel with breakfast. For those who want to make a night out of it while you’re up there, we can arrange bar and club entry for you.

Price: £150 per person based on two sharing a room.

*Please note the following:

– This trip is not dependent on a certain number of people booking.

– Current price is live and can change without notice at any point due to flight availability which is beyond our control.

– Price includes flying with hand luggage only. Extra cost for checking in baggage.

– Airport transfers at either end are not included. Match tickets are not included.

Transport Update – Bridgend, Neath and Scarlets

All to advise we will not be running coaches to Bridgend.  However the Port Talbot bus is looking to run for the Gnoll game, if you are interested please contact Nigel as normal.

Both  train stations are about a 10 minute walk to the grounds or a quick taxi ride with taxis right outside each station.

Parking is limited around Bridgend ground but there is a car park across the road.  In regards to the Gnoll there is a small car park opposite the ground and some off street parking.  However please be aware many of the streets around the Gnoll have residents only parking areas and you will be ticketed if parking in one of these spots

In regards to Scarlets away on the 3rd Jan we are currently checking on availability and prices of coaches and will update you all ASAP.

Fly your flag to show your support on Saturday

If you’re travelling to Northampton on Saturday and are in possession of an Ospreys flag (small, poled or large) then we would LOVE it if you could bring them to the match!
It has been brought to our attention that the boys sometimes find it difficult to spot us in away grounds as black tends to blend in! We all know that we travel in great numbers, and we really want to show the boys how many have travelled to back them in this massive European game.
So when the boys take to the field on Saturday, let’s wave our flags with pride.

Meeting place for Northampton

We have arranged pre and post match meeting places for supporters travelling to Northampton on Saturday.
Supporters are invited to meet at the THOMAS A BECKET pub (52 St James’ Road, Northampton) from 2pm onwards. Not only will we expect a very warm welcome from our hosts, but a ‘Cider & Sausage’ Festival is also being held on the same weekend! On offer will be some luxury butchers sausages together with some fantastic craft ciders!
Post match, the OSC will be heading into Northampton town centre and will be basing ourselves at the WIG & PEN (19 St Giles’ Street, Northampton) where all supporters are more than welcome to join us to either celebrate or commiserate!

Coach departure times for Northampton away on 25th October

Can all supporters please ensure you are at the pick up points at least 5 minutes before the departure time so we can ensure we are on time for all other pick ups.

Swans are playing at home on the 25th so we will not be picking up at The Liberty

Swansea, Felindre Park & Ride (off junction 46 M4) 10:00 am

Neath Train Station 10:20am

Port Talbot train station 10:40 am

Sarn Services (coach park) 11:10 am

Cardiff West Services (coach park) 11:40 am

Return times:

The day trip leaves 1.5 hours after the final whistle

The overnight coach leaves at 10am from ther Ibis Hotel – don’t forget the clocks go back 🙂  Enjoy the extra hour in bed but please make sure you’re there for a prompt 10am departure.

SOLD OUT – Coach Travel to Northampton

COACH TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT!
We have arranged coach travel for our European fixture against Northampton Saints on Saturday 25th October, 5.15pm KO.
There are two options available:
Day Trip – £18pp
Overnight Trip (coach only) – £20pp

Accommodation must be arranged independently.

Pick up points will be along the M4 corridor and we’ll contact you soon with details.
Match tickets are also now on sale via the Liberty Stadium ticket office and via Northampton Saints directly.
